Why

As my mother would say, I have the ability to “make something out of nothing.”

As a young girl I opted for Legos over Barbies. If odd objects were missing around the house, I had used them to build something. Soon I learned I could harness my creativity towards a career. I liked creative problem solving, computers, and building projects. Becoming an architect would check all those boxes.

I completed my Bachelor of Architecture degree, acquired my license, and enjoyed working as an architect in the commercial building industry for over a decade. Each relocation as a military spouse provided new experiences in a variety of office environments. Although as time passed, I was often confused for feeling unfulfilled and disengaged.

JLee Elements emerged as a creative solution, and yet again I chose to build something new.

I am passionate about building visual ideas with the fundamental elements of design: lines, shapes, colors, textures, and spaces.

My desire to broaden and share my gift of creativity led me to a new adventure in graphic design. The experience I gained as an architect enhances the value I bring to new creative projects as I convey ideas through the digital world instead of the physical environment.
